
Winner of Top Chef Season 19 and Top Chef World All Stars Season 20, Buddha Lo is the Executive Chef and co-owner of Huso. Under his leadership, Huso has transformed from a small, caviar-focused tasting menu restaurant at its original location on the Upper East Side into an innovative 12-course dining experience in Tribeca. Born in Australia, Buddha began his culinary journey at 12 in his parents’ Chinese restaurant. He honed his skills working with top chefs in Melbourne, London, and at three-Michelin-star restaurants like Gordon Ramsay and Eleven Madison Park. Buddha’s diverse experience around the globe shapes his bold, creative approach to fine dining at Huso.
As Head Chef at Huso, Lois Picken brings a wealth of experience from some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens. Formerly a sous chef at Core by Clare Smyth in London, she helped lead the team to two and then three-Michelin-star status. In 2022, Chef Picken advanced her career at The French Laundry, working under Chef Thomas Keller to refine her skills at the iconic restaurant. At Huso, she partners with Executive Chef Buddha Lo to create a dynamic tasting menu that showcases the finest ingredients from around the world.
As General Manager of Huso, Kevin Goyenechea oversees the restaurant’s service and expertly curated 150-label wine program. With experience at Jean-Georges and, most recently, as General Manager of the three-Michelin-starred Jungsik, he brings a wealth of fine dining expertise. At Huso, Kevin partners with Executive Chef and Co-Owner Buddha Lo to create an elevated tasting menu experience that blends innovation, elegance, and world-class hospitality.
